Ghana: EOCO and Medical association confirms arrest of two Medical doctors for Baby Harvesting

The Ghana Medical Association and the Economic and organized crime office have confirmed the arrest of three personalities who were actively engaged in illegal  baby harvesting and human trafficking.

The three personalities are Dr Hope Mensah Amegashie of Susan Clinic located at Lartehbiokorshie, a suburb of Accra, Mr. Leonard Agbley who works as a social welfare officer and Dr Noah Kofi Lartey who works at Greater Accra Regional Hospital and also operates a private hospital.

Also arrested are three nurses who worked with Dr Hope Amegashie at his facility.

According to joint team, they conducted investigations into the illegal activities between the periods of June to November, 2019.
