12 Jan Ghana to bury late former President on the 27th Jan

Ghana Government through the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Regional Integration has announced Wednesday 27 January 2021 as the new burial date for the late former president Jerry John Rawlings.
The Government announced this on Tuesday January 12 while communicating the funeral arrangements to the diplomatic community.
The laying in state starts from 24 to 26 January at the forecourt of the Accra International Conference Centre from 9am to 5pm daily, the notice said.
The Founder of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) died on Thursday, 12 November 2020 at the Korle Bu Teaching Hospital in Accra.
The late former president Jerry John Rawlings rule the country on the ticket of National Democratic Congress (NDC) as president from 1993 to 2001 with the late president John Evans Atta Mills as his Vice-President.
